“Hello. My name is GRIZZLY BEAR and I came to BHS because my owner had to move and had too many animals to care for. I am a super sweet yet big guy who loves to sit on the couch with you…obviously I do not know how big I am. I did live with 2 other dogs in my previous home, my mom and my brother but since I have been here, I have a tendency to be dominant with the other dogs I have met here. I enjoy car rides and going for long walks but make sure you use a harness while walking me. I also like being around kids, I have lived with young, small children and they were pretty fun. I like playing with kongs, tennis balls and unstuffed animals…I will rip apart stuffed animals so they are not the best thing for me. I also love food and treats and I will sit if you tell me to for a treat. I have been around cats but they seem to scare me…in case you already have a cat. I am looking for a happy forever home who has enough room for me to live and run around and play. If you have a home for me, please visit BHS soon. Thank you.”

Paige is an extremely affectionate girl who was forfeited by her previous owner. As you can see in her video, she wants to shower you with kisses!
Echo (also known as Willem de Kooning) is a friendly and relaxed polydactyl boy. He will excitedly follow you around and gets along with other animals, including dogs!
Sebastian is a male rat living in Exton, PA but can be sent a reasonable distance to a loving new home! Rats are very clever and can make wonderful pets.

Yesterday was Black Cat Appreciation Day! Black animals have a hard time getting adopted, and black cats have it especially rough around Halloween. I drew a few portraits of black cats available around the NYC area for my pal Katie’s Drawdoption project! They’ll be posted over the course of the week.
OH MY GOD THIS IS MY FOSTER CAT. Yuko you just gave me a heart attack. Bagheera is the SWEETEST thing and we have had her for many months with zero interest shown because she just looks like any other black cat, unlike our last russian blue-ish foster who had multiple suitors each week. I am so grateful for this, I am shaking! Yuko you are the best, I can’t believe this is on my dashboard. And thank you so much to Katie for this wonderful project!
